“Sing to the Lord a new song!” — Isaiah 42:10
Music is a very important component to the worship service at Christ Church, setting the mood and tone of the service. Our upcoming musical selections during services, as well as our special music events, are listed on the sidebar.
Our Adult Choir leads the congregation in song at the 10:00 a.m. service each Sunday during the program year. Under the leadership of Charles Raines, Director of Music and organist, the Choir supports the congregation each week in hymn singing as well as anthems pertaining to scripture. Our Choir sings a variety of musical styles ranging from chanting to Classical to contemporary. All are welcome to join.
Adult Choir
Adult Choir, under the direction of Minister of Music, Mary Jodice, is an ensemble made up of mostly volunteers, with four professional section leaders (soprano, alto, tenor and bass.) During the program year, we rehearse on Thursday evenings from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. We learn new music in an atmosphere of spirituality and good-hearted fun. No auditions are required … just the desire to sing with the ensemble. We extend an open invitation to anyone at anytime throughout the year. Some singers are with the group for a particular season, due to travel or family obligations. We welcome you with open arms and a packet of music. Learn more about becoming part of the music ministry at Christ Church.
High school students who sing in the choir receive community service credits toward graduation requirements.
Our section leaders are Lisa Correnti, soprano; Lea Peterson, alto; Grant Furgiuele, tenor; and Mark Anderson, bass.

Instrumentalists
Parishioners who play an instrument are invited to play at Christ Church’s services. We have several already who play. Again, there are no auditions, just a willingness to share your gift of music with others. Please reach out Minister of Music by calling 781-444-1469 or e-mailing.
Mary Jodice, Minister of Music
Mary earned her Master’s Degree in Organ Performance from the Longy School of Music in Cambridge, and completed graduate work in Collaborative Piano there, as well. She has served Episcopal churches in Massachusetts for more than a decade. Mary also works as an organist, collaborative pianist, choral conductor, and continuo player in the Boston area. She has been active as a musical director in churches, a pianist and vocal coach for musical theater, and a continuo player for Early Music performances. Mary is also the Artistic Director and Conductor for the Jubilate Chamber Choir. Jubilate is a flexible ensemble specializing in unaccompanied music from the 1600s to the present. Jubilate also sings Evensong and large Choral works and travels to sing with other groups. Mary loves to work with children’s choirs and has made an effort each summer to go to England to study choral pedagogy and the methods of teaching used in the choir schools there. She believes every child can learn to sing, read music, and grow in community with others.
