Pamela Goody
Music Director
Pamela has been involved in church choirs and school choruses since early childhood. She received a Bachelor of Music Education Degree from University of Massachusetts at Lowell in 1975. Her first teaching jobs took her to Haverhill and Natick, MA where she taught general music classes, chorus and drama. In 1978 she began her professional singing career under the tutelage of the late Rita Beatie (of the Eleanor Steber lineage). Pamela has sung with orchestras in the New England area including the Boston Lyric Opera Company, Nashua Symphony Orchestra, Boston Academy of Music, MIT Symphony Orchestra, Handel & Haydn Society, and Chorus Pro Musica. She has been soloist and alto section leader with Needham Congregational Church, historic Old North Church of Boston, and St. Paul’s, Wellesley. In 1999 Pamela became the alto soloist and section leader at Christ Episcopal Church, Needham. She is delighted to be Christ Church’s Music Director now, a position she rose to in January 2009. Pamela oversees the musical programs at the church, including Sunday morning worship, special services and instrumental offerings. She directs the Adult Choir and supervises the Youth Choir.
