Bring your beloved pet, any pet, even a picture of a pet that has returned to our Maker or stuffed animals, to receive a blessing on Sunday, October 6 at 4pm on the front lawn. Enjoy prayers and songs of thanksgiving for God’s glorious creation, and creaturely fellowship. We are asking people to donate to local animal organizations via their wish lists because it is the most efficient way to help them. Here are some great organizations that need your support:

• Give to Black Cat Rescue, based in Somerville, through their Chewy Wish List.
• Interested in wildlife care and enrichment? Visit Zoo New England’s Wish List or their sanctuary supplies page.

Rally Day, Welcome Back Sunday, Sundae Sunday – we’ve described the first Sunday of the Program Year so many different ways over the years. Well, it’s time for something new!

This year, Sunday September 15th will be the Calendar Carnival, a special opportunity to play Bible-themed games while learning about different ministries and signing up for volunteer opportunities to support the life of the Parish. There will be popcorn, ice cream, and prizes!

Put together the Circle of the Church year at the Church School table to get your calendar icon stamped. Play Noah’s Two-By-Two Animal Memory Match at the Stewardship table to stamp your Ark space. Are you willing to bring coffee hour snacks? Sign up with the Coffee Hour team and claim the number 7 – because God rested on the 7th Day, but the Coffee Hour squad doesn’t! There’s something for everyone at the Calendar Carnival!
