PALM SUNDAY || March 24
no 8:15am service
10am              Choral Rite II Eucharist with Choir, Procession of Palms, and Passion Play (Main Church and streaming online, NOTE: Meet in Upper Parish Hall for the procession)
We move from jubilation to horror as we recall Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem for his last week. For many who cannot worship on Good Friday, the Palm Sunday Passion is the primary liturgical reminder of the depth of Jesus’ agony, the suffering in our own lives and the wider world.

MAUNDY THURSDAY || March 28
6pm                Simple Supper  (Upper Parish Hall)
7pm                Rite II Eucharist  with Hymns and Footwashing (Chapel)
We remember Jesus’ last meal with his disciples, and his command to “do this in remembrance of me,” establishing the Eucharist as a primary worship practice to deepen love of God and neighbor. “Maundy” is from the Latin word for “command” or “mandate.”

GOOD FRIDAY || March 29
12pm              Contemplative Stations of the Cross (Main Church)
An opportunity for prayer and quiet reflection before images of the 14 traditional stations of the Cross, plus the Resurrection. Images are from the “Way of the Cross” painted by southwestern artist Ettore DeGrazia.

3:30pm          Sensory Stations of the Cross (Meet in UPH)
This service invites participants to travel Jesus’ path to the Cross and on to the Resurrection using all of our senses. Listen to the clang of the hammer, taste the salt of tears, and rejoice at His rising. This service is suitable for people of all ages, from pre-readers to grandparents.

7pm                Seven Last Words of Jesus (Main Church & streaming)
Members of the Parish reflect on each of Jesus’ last words from the Cross. In a rhythm of Word, reflection, song and silence, we sit with Jesus as he dies on the Cross. We ponder the meaning of this violent death for us and for our world.

EASTER SUNDAY || March 31
9am                Festive Rite II Eucharist with Trumpet & Combined Adult & Children Choir (Main Church and streaming online)
Easter Egg Hunt will be just after the 9am service ends (meet at the Church sign on Highland Ave)
11am             Festive Rite II Eucharist with Trumpet and Adult Choir (Main Church and streaming online)

We express our joy and gratitude for Jesus’ Resurrection. With Scripture readings, hymns, choral anthems, festive instruments, a sermon, and the Eucharist, we affirm our trust that Jesus is alive and active in our lives and in the world, giving us strength and power to love God and neighbor, as Jesus teaches.
