Bring your beloved pet, any pet, even a picture of a pet that has returned to our Maker or stuffed animals, to receive a blessing on Sunday, October 1 at 4pm on the front lawn. Enjoy prayers and songs of thanksgiving for God’s glorious creation, as well as some snacks and creaturely fellowship. We are asking people to donate to local animal organizations via their wish lists because it is the most efficient way to help them. Here are some great organizations that need your support:

• Support MSPCA/Angell through their Amazon Wish List here.
• Give to Black Cat Rescue, based in Somerville, through their Chewy Wish List.
• Interested in wildlife care and enrichment? Visit Zoo New England’s Wish List or their sanctuary supplies page. 

Hello faithful MANNA volunteers! The MANNA Community is incredibly appreciative of all the help provided by Christ Church. The Rev. Jennifer McCracken has requested additional items from us on a monthly basis to help supplement the Monday lunch program. The MANNA Community has seen an increase in attendance recently and the additional food items will be a tremendous help. Currently, we are providing the following:

• 5 casseroles (pans and simple recipe provided)
• 100 individually wrapped baked goods
• 75 bananas
• 75 bagged lunches

In order to provide a more complete meal, the MANNA Community would appreciate the following additional food items:

• 4 bags of pre-washed mixed greens (24 oz each)
• 1 large bag of pre-shredded carrots (20-24 oz)
• 1 gallon of cut-up cucumbers (about 8-10 medium-sized cukes)
• 2 containers of cherry tomatoes (10 oz each)
• 1 vegetarian meal – 1 large box of Asian noodles with vegetables (or something similar that can be cooked on-site) 

If you are interested in signing up to donate one or more of the requested items or if you would like to drive the food to the Cathedral on Sunday please visit the Sign-Up Genius.

Come join Wednesday Bible study this fall when we spend the year reading 1 & 2 Samuel to learn about this great king of Israel through interactive discussion led by Tracy Rubin. Classes meet Wednesday mornings from 10:00am-11:30am, and Wednesday evenings 7:00pm-8:30pm from September 20, 2023 through May 22, 2024. We will meet both in person and online.
