Gospel of Matthew: Who knew?

Did you know that the Gospel of Matthew has a lot to say about immigration?  Come join this year’s Bible Study, as we explore this extremely relevant text. We begin on Wednesday, September 18, with morning or evening  sessions: 10 am-noon or  7-8:30 pm. Bible Study meets in the Memorial Room off the Upper Parish Hall.
We will be studying and discussing the Gospel of Matthew from September to May. We will be exploring many “Who Knew? questions, such as:
– Who knew that this gospel has so much to say about immigration (Jesus being a refugee with his family when they fled Herod)?
– Who knew the Gospel of Matthew has so much to say about the role of women, demonstrated by their presence at the crucifixion, the first at the empty tomb, and the first to meet the resurrected Christ?
– Who knew the Gospel of Matthew has so much to say about church policy and how the community should function?
