Hear from our Community Partners … Panel Discussions

We invite (and encourage!) members of the parish to attend our upcoming Community Engagement Panels. We will hear about community needs (and thoughts about Christ Church involvement) from a variety of organizations. Choose the date/time that works for you: November 15 (11:30a.m.-12:30 p.m.), November 22 (11.30 a.m.-12.30 p.m.) and Tuesday, December 1 (7 – 8 p.m.). These gatherings will be held in the Chapel.
Our goal as a parish is to discover and proclaim a renewed and renewing mission for our parish. Critical to this process is our opportunity to listen to various organizations in our community, such as the police department, fire department, housing authority, board of health, high school guidance, town government, Sudbury Farms, and Diversity Council. We have asked them to share, through their unique lenses, the hopes and challenges in the Needham community … and how a community of faith may play a role in these challenges. We are planning for 4-5 panelists at each of the sessions, with a parish moderator and scribe. We will provide panelists with questions in advance (note that there will be limited time for questions from the audience). Come participate in this important step to defining our renewed mission as a parish.

Rector Welcomes Visitors, Newcomers

nick in choir croppedGreetings to you from Christ Episcopal Church in Needham, Massachusetts. I’m glad you found your way to our website. Possibly you found your way to our church during the Christmas season, too.

My name is Nick Morris-Kliment, and I’m the Rector—that’s Episcopal-speak for chief pastor—of this vibrant Christian community. On behalf of our members and me, welcome.

Whether you are checking out this website because you are looking for a church home, or because you already know Christ Church in some way, we look forward to connecting with you wherever you are on your spiritual journey.

At Christ Church, we value community–our own spiritual community and the many larger communities of which we are part. Individually and together, in worship and in service, we seek to know God as God is revealed in the life of Jesus.

In our actions, we strive to serve those in need in the wider community, to live in fellowship, and to spread peace.

In our worship, we value an open communion table, good music, and preaching that speaks to us where we are. We value providing opportunities for Christian learning for all ages.

I hope you will peruse our web pages and then join us for worship.  Come and see. Be sure to identify yourself. We look forward to greeting you in person.

Faithfully yours,

Connect with Christ Church Ministries

Join us during October for Coffee Hours hosted by several of our ministries. Take the opportunity to meet those who participate and learn more about each ministry. The schedule is as follows: Oct 4: Choir; Oct 11: Vestry; Oct 18: Bible Study; Oct 25: Church School.

Respond to Survey … Your Vote Counts!

Members, our Mission Assessment Profile  survey is up and running. Please find 15-20 minutes to take this important survey.

Every member vote counts! Your Vestry would like a full view from all of our members, 18 and over. The objective is to determine how our members experience Christ Church’s mission, the effectiveness of ministry initiatives, and our capacity for moving forward in new and renewed ways.

We encourage members to take the survey online. For those who do not have computer access at home, computers will be available at church. Hard copies will also be available for those who are not comfortable using computers. All survey responses will be anonymous.

We hope that by participating in the assessment, you will think about where God is calling us into ministry into the future—and help you celebrate the good things going on in our church today. Thank you for your willingness to be a part of this assessment and for helping to build our future.
