We continue to celebrate the joy of the Resurrection during the 50-day Easter season. Each day we celebrate rebirth, light, love, resurrection, joy, and the triumph of life over death. We come to understand with greater clarity that through Christ’s death and resurrection, we are invited to new and unending life with him.

The liturgies of Holy Week, the week prior to Easter, engage our minds, bodies, and spirits as we journey with Jesus from the Last Supper and the washing of the disciples’ feet (Jesus’ commandment to love others as he has loved us), to the agony of the garden and the cross, and ultimately to the empty tomb and the annunciation that Christ has risen from the dead.

As a community and in communion with Christians throughout the world, Christ Church walked the Holy Week journey through our liturgies of Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter. We continue to celebrate with joy the Easter feast.
