Make a Joyful Noise

You are invited to experience the reverence and joy of Christmas at Christ Church Needham. Musical events and services will mark our transition from the anticipation of the Advent season to our celebration of Christ’s birth.

“The power of God comes in a particular and powerful way at Christmas time, one that touches our deepest hopes and longings,” said the Rev. Nicholas Morris-Kliment, rector of Christ Church. “We invite members and non-members to join in all of our activities as we reflect on the meaning of Christmas here at Christ Church.”

Christmas truce waveMusical highlights include a choral concert at 3 pm, Sunday, December 20, called “Silent Night … Holy Night and the Christmas Truce of World War I.” The
Christ Church choir’s re-enactment and concert will tell the true story of a spontaneous moment of peace, shared by British and German soldiers on the battlefield, on Christmas Eve of 1914. The miracle began with the singing of “Silent Night” by soldiers in the trenches. After the concert, refreshments will be served. xmaschoir altarcropxmaschoir altarcropRead/print flyer
